Coastal Blue Mortgages

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Coastal Blue Mortgages (“we”, “us”) collects through coastalblue.ca, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us in our forms, plus some technical information described below.

  • Contact and “Get my rate” forms: your name, your email address or phone number, and your message or the details you share about your mortgage (such as a home price or renewal date).
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
  • Renewal reminder: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and mortgage renewal date.
  • Resource downloads, “coming soon” requests and calculator exports: your first and last name, email address, and which resource or calculator you used.
  • Email consent: whether you agreed to receive mortgage tips and rate updates, when you agreed, the page you were on and the exact wording you agreed to.
  • How you found us: with each form, the page you sent it from, the website that referred you (if your browser shares it) and any campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign).
  • Calculators: the figures you enter are worked out in your browser. If you export your results as a PDF or CSV, those figures are sent to our server only to create the file.

How we use it

  • To reply to your questions and give you mortgage advice.
  • To follow up before your renewal date when you ask for a renewal reminder.
  • To send you the resource you asked for, or let you know when a “coming soon” resource is ready.
  • To send you mortgage tips and rate updates, but only if you agreed to receive them, through the newsletter sign-up or the optional checkbox on our other forms.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to us, and to improve the website.

We don't sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We use these service providers to run the website and keep track of client enquiries:

  • HubSpot, our customer relationship management (CRM) system. Everything you send through our forms is stored there.
  • Resend, an email delivery service the website uses to send email.
  • Vercel, which hosts the website and processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages to you.
  • Supabase, which hosts the database behind the website (blog posts, mortgage rates and admin accounts). Form submissions are not stored there.
  • Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel, for analytics and advertising (see below).
  • YouTube, which hosts the videos embedded on the site.

These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States.

Booking and applications

When you book a consultation through cal.com or start a mortgage application on the Newton Velocity portal, you leave our website. Those are third-party sites with their own privacy policies, which apply to the information you enter there.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Google Tag Manager to run analytics and advertising tags, and Meta Pixel to measure and improve our advertising on Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you view, the links you click, your browser and device, and your IP address. On our calculator pages we also record events such as which tool you used and a summary of the result. YouTube may set its own cookies when you play an embedded video.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings.
